This is the part where I tell you all about my extensive art background, what artsy fartsy schools I’ve been through and all the mediums that I dabble in, well that’s BS. The truth is that I’m just a guy with an artist streak from So Cal.
I was the kid in class always doodling on anything that would except ink or lead. I never in my life would have ever imagined that I would become a tattooist. The window opened and I took advantage of it. Bottom line is, Pokers Tattoo Parlor wouldn’t be, and I wouldn’t be who I am today with these people in mind.
Mom, Dad, Piper, John, Kathy and Kari: there are not enough words to express what you all mean to me and how much I appreciate your love and support, thanks for always being there. Malyk, what can I say? This would have never been if it wasn’t for you, thanks for all your support and saving me from the grind. I LOVE YOU. Donroy, Mudflap, Percy, and Faupel, the best of bros, the ride wouldn’t be the same without you, mad love for you guys. Repp, I owe you big time and its coming, thank you for your patience. Luc Zeitek, it’s a privilege to look over your shoulder every day, thanks for all your help, and Fred Giovenetti for giving me a shot at tattooing.
To all the friends who helped build Poker’s Tattoo Parlor. Mike Armstrong, James, Butch, Craig “ears” Chapman, Mike Rudolf, Ryan Barlow, Coby, Dennis Baker, Big Dan for the web site, and Early Ern for building it. To all the people that I’ve owed tattoos too and have taken a back seat to let a struggling artist make some ends, thank you for your patience. To any client who has come into the shop and trusted me to tattoo them, I hope you’re as stoked as I am for the experience and I appreciate the business.
